Our history

Stifled by the corporate world Chris Jones, Andrew Shackel and Justin Oldham set out as independent professional property consultants and formed Jones Shackel Oldham in 2009.  The consultancy has now grown to offer a full range of property and real estate services from it central London base.

In its early years Jones Shackel Oldham (JSO) provided a creative and competitive service dynamic service concentrating on central London commercial and mixed use property schemes including work for Benefex, Musto, Waitrose, Universal Tyres, Enterprise Rent A Car and Ten Pin Bowling.

JSO began life in Portland Place, opposite the BBC, and, from small beginnings, the team began to establish a reputation as astute operators with an ability to react swiftly to market opportunities.

Client service has been at the core of it’s activities and in 2011, for Perival and Active Estates, JSO identified and secured a  funding partner for the Travelodge hotel development in Stratford ahead of the London 2012 Olympic. The hotel opened on time in advance of the London games.

Most recently JSO secured a site in Esher, Surrey, that will allow Waitrose to more than double their trading space and develop a 21st century branch.

Sadly in 2013, after battling for two years, Chris Jones lost his fight against cancer. As a wit and raconteur he offered an alternative view to chartered surveying, horse racing and shooting.

Jones Shackel Oldham continues to evolve and is still involved in a range of projects in London and throughout the country.
